Knighton Music is always interested in buying certain records and CDs if in good condition.

Classical Records Wanted
We deal in lots different musical genres but we are particularly interested in acquiring certain classical vinyl LPs, in particular good, clean copies of early Decca stereo LPs from the late 1950s/early ‘60s (prefixed with SXL), Columbia (SAX) & HMV (ASD).

Certain mono records are also of interest including early HMV (ALP, BLP etc), some Deutsche Grammophon (DGM) & Columbia (33CX).

Jazz Vinyl Wanted
In jazz we are looking for nice copies of Blue Note label records, Prestige, Riverside, Atlantic, Impulse, ECM & others.

We’re also keen on British modern jazz vinyls by Tubby Hayes, Jazz Couriers, Stan Tracey, Michael Garrick, Joe Harriott, Don Rendell/ Ian Carr etc. We will pay good prices for records in good condition in the Columbia Lansdowne series and on the Tempo & Fontana labels.

You’ll note that we prefer more progressive modern jazz rather than the mainstream swing stuff so we will not be interested in Glenn Miller, Goodman or Kenton big band albums, sorry.

We’ll also consider jazz & classical CDs in excellent condition.

We will also consider some popular things, songwriter & folk albums, Beatles, Stones originals for instance, and certain 78s from the 1940s/50s, especially bebop jazz and rock & roll.

We don’t need…
any more country music vinyls, I think we’ve got enough thanks. We do not buy records or CDs of mainstream pop & rock, dance, reggae, trad jazz or easy listening.
